Matthew SmithSigned, Limited-Edition, Collectors’ Prints Date: December 2012 A couple of characters from the British computer and video game business of the 1980s met last month in the North West of England. Matthew Smith, author of the legendary ZX Spectrum games ‘Manic Miner’ and ‘Jet Set Willy’ hooked-up with Steve Wilcox, co-founder of one time Golden Joysticks’ ‘Software House of the Year’, Elite. The occasion was the presentation to Matthew of ‘Manic Miner’ signed , limited-edition, collectors’ print #50 (of 50). Matthew also took the opportunity to give his approval for the digitally re-mastered image (of the packaging art for Software Projects ‘Jet Set Willy’) to be used in the creation of a new series of signed, limited-edition, collectors’ prints.
Wilcox noted, “96% of the prints from the ‘Manic Miner’ series have been sold, whilst some 40% of the prints from the ‘Jet Set Willy’ series were pre-ordered, ahead of today’s formal announcement.”
Both prints are available to order from here
