Re-scheduled ‘Elite Collection’ and ‘Elite Collection HD’ iOS Apps,

Dated and Priced – “A Dozen Games For A Dollar”

Date: December 2011

Elite Systems, the long established UK based developer and electronic publisher of games for portable, mobile and other devices who in October announced a brief delay in the release of the Elite Collection and Elite Collection HD Apps has confirmed the Apps have been re-scheduled for release during the weekend of 16th December, 2011 (except on the Americas) with a 7-day-only promotional launch pricing (0.69/Euro0.79/$0.99). The Apps, which include support for Ion Audios iCade controller, will include both twelve bundled, near-100% original, 8-bit home computer games and an in-app Shop (offering a further sixteen games, including an Elite Collection exclusive, Bruce Lee for purchase). Commenting upon the launch plans, Elites MD Steve Wilcox said, The launch of the Apps in the Americas will take place a little later, most likely in mid-to-late January. Weve been offered some truly-classic, 80s, American, 8-bit home computer games for inclusion in the in-app Shop and we need a little more time to ensure that the work required to get them ready is completed. Speaking about the Apps, Elite MD Steve Wilcox said, We have ambitious goals for Elite Collection to offer access - via mobile and wireless devices - to many of the thousands of fantastic 8-bit home computer games created since 1982 and to restore some order to the market for 8-bit home computer games and to enable other developers and publishers to offer access to their games by licencing our Elite Collection technology for a modest one off fee. This initial release contains 12 near-100% original 8-bit home computer games, including but not limited to: Elite Collection Vol. #1 - included, - featuring ALTERNATE REALITY: THE CITY and also including, - Black Magic - Alternate Reality: The Dungeon Elite Collection Vol. #2 - included, - featuring URIDIUM and also including, - Buggy Boy (a.k.a. Speed Buggy) - First Samurai Elite Collection Vol. #3 - included, - featuring BUNDESLIGA MANAGER and also including - Denaris - Enforcer It also contains an in-App shop offering: - the next five volumes (Vol. #4 to Vol. #9 - priced at 1.49/1.59/US$1.99), each volume containing between 1 and 3 near-100% original 8-bit home computer games and - the first three \'Singles\', each priced 0.69/0.79/US$0.99, featuring EMLYN HUGHES INTERNATIONAL SOCCER Vol. #1 to #9 of the App is a work-in-progress. Were committed to improving and further developing the App in the weeks and months ahead and to adding to the in-App shop further volumes and games such as, we hope: Freefall Games Vol. #1 - featuring ARCHON II: ADEPT Geoff Crammond Vol. #1 - featuring STUNT CAR RACER Novagen Vol. #1 - featuring Mercenary: Escape From Targ Ozark Softscape Vol. #1 - featuring M.U.L.E. At launch, the games available for purchase from the in-App Shop will number sixteen but that number is expected to rise to more than 100 over time. We also anticipate adding Game Centre and other support over time but initially our highest priority will be signing the very best 8-bit home computer games that the 1980s and early 90s had to offer.
