14th August 2019 is the 35th anniversary of the formation of Elite Systems Ltd, now arguably the UK's oldest continually operating developer and publisher of computer and video games.

To celebrate we've posted an image at the following link. It's a re-print of a profile of Elite penned by Martin Carrol for Retro Gamer magazine a dozen or so years ago.

Elite Systems Ltd was co-founded on 14th August 1984 by Brian Wilcox and his son Stephen Wilcox.

Brian's other son, Richard Wilcox, is the author of Blue Thunder, originally a game for the Atari 400 home computer. Blue Thunder was published by Foundry Business Systems Ltd in 1983. Richard's next game, Airwolf, was the 4th game published by Elite Systems Ltd and a top selling game in the final quarter of 1984.
